Starting the moving process...

For a couple of months now we've been slowly packing up our house and getting ready for the big move. Yesterday we got the U-Haul truck and loaded it up with almost all of our stuff...we have too much! We rented the biggest U-Haul they have and fill it to the max! We officially close on both houses on Thursday. We can get into the new house at 2, and have to be out of the old house at 5. So, we've got 3 hours to run back and forth to fill up our cars with the remainder of our stuff. Sounds like fun, huh? Luckily the new house is less than 5 miles away! Dylan wasn't too sure what to think about the U-Haul truck. He keeps calling it Dada's truck. At first he didn't want to go in it at all. Eventually he let Mama take him in the truck, but he did not want to let go of her!

Slowly he got a little brave. What you don't see here is that Mama is standing on the other side of the truck, so she's still not too far away, which he liked.

The first couple of times he went down the ramp, he wanted to hold someones hand. Then he decided maybe he could walk down it like a big boy all by himself!

Finally he decided this whole ramp thing was pretty cool. Here is he taking a running start from the front of the truck so he could run down the ramp!

Like I mentioned, most of our furniture etc. is packed inside the U-Haul melting away. So, here's Dylan's current set up. His chair and the portable DVD player. We like to wind down with Khaki Mouse (AKA Mickey Mouse).

What like moving is hard? Dylan sure had fun this weekend!

Special thanks to everyone who braved this ridiculous heat to help us load up the U-Haul yesterday! We truly appreciate it!

Haarmanns at the Lake

This past weekend we did our annual Haarmann weekend at the lake. Every year we aim to get the whole immediate family together for some quality time. The water was too cold to go swimming, but we were able to go for a boat ride! At first Dylan didn't really like it and buried himself in Dad's shoulder.

After awhile he got used to it and decided maybe it wasn't all bad. Here he is helping PaPa drive the boat.

Here's Livvy helping to drive the boat. She doesn't look very enthusiastic about it. She loved the boat ride though and spent most of the time dancing to the music!

Here's MaMa holding both of her grand babies during the boat ride. Just think...this time next year there will be 4 grand babies to hold!
Here's a cute pic of my sweet little boy.

Our Escape!

Scott was in Vegas last week for work. I flew in to spend the weekend with him. I have never been, so I wasn't really sure what to expect. It was neat, I'm glad I went, but I'm not sure I need to go back. Don't get me wrong, I had a great time, I just think I prefer relaxing on a beach! (Although, I could have a different opinion if I wasn't pregnant and sober the whole weekend!) I think the part I enjoyed the most was probably the people watching. There were definitely some characters! Friday night I arrived pretty late, so we just walked around a little bit before this tired pregnant lady had to head to bed. On our walk we caught the Bellagio fountain light show. It was amazing!
Saturday we walked around...a lot. Here's a random picture of Scott and I by a fountain. I loved all the palm trees and water fountains. I think they are so pretty.
Saturday night we headed downtown to check out that light show. Here's a picture of Scott downtown. You can see the roof above him...this is what it looks like normally...
And this is what is looks like for the light show! It was pretty neat actually. My friend Jen said it's the biggest LED light show. She knows a lot of random facts, so it very well could be true! I mean, look how long it is!
Sunday we did even more walking around than we did on Saturday. (I admit, I had to take a nap on Saturday!) We went to the Coca Cola store and hung out with the Coca Cola Bear.
We also hit the M&M store. Here's a picture of me by the M&M wall. Dylan would have been in heaven.
We went up in the Eiffel tower to get a great view of the city, and to be able to say that we've been up in both the Eiffel tower in Vegas, and the one in Paris. (Although, the one in Vegas doesn't even compare...) Here's the shadow of the tower when we were in it.

Here's some random shots from Sunday. The circle steel work surrounding Scott is the work of his client at Bally's.

Here's a pic of New York, New York.

Here's a picture of me and the sphinx at The Luxor.

We ended the night with the pirate show at Treasure Island and the Volcano show at the Mirage. Here's a picture of the erupting volcano.

Thanks to Mama & Papa for watching Dylan so we could have a fun weekend! And to Mimi and G-Pa for watching Buddy!
