We had a great afternoon spending time with good friends, the Brueckmanns and the Woods. There was swimming and eating and babies and RAIN! Here's Wade, Jackson and Dylan getting ready to jump (scoot!) into the pool.

4th of July Parade

We braved the heat (it was over 100 degrees!) and met Ryan and Wade in Webster Groves for a parade! Don't the boys all look thrilled?

Dylan was actually very sweet the whole time. He always made sure to share his candy with Wade and Jackson (who didn't quite grasp the idea of grabbing the candy!) If someone tried to give him just one piece he would ask for 3...which to a stranger handing out candy may have seemed selfish. Really, he was just trying to make sure everyone got one piece! I was so proud of him for sharing so well. Here he is gathering some candy. :)

Saying farewell to the beach

On our way back to St. Louis, we stopped one last time to say goodbye to the beach. The boys and I had a great vacation, but we were tired and anxious to get back home to see Buddy.

Dylan and I are already looking through these pictures and trying to talk Scott into taking us to another beach. We had so much fun!

Lunch

Our friend Conor suggested we try eating at the Oar House for lunch one day, so we all went. He was right, the place was delicious and the environment was fun. It was right on the water and the kids had a good time looking at the boats. Here's Olivia and Heidi and the big fish!
