Happy Halloween!

The boys were so fun this year! We had a lot of Halloween fun. It started with a party at the Brueckmann's. It was great to see all the kids dressed up!
Next up was Trunk or Treating at St. Paul's with the Warfel's. Events like this remind me how different the boys are. When Dylan was 2, he wasn't very excited about trick or treating. Jackson figured it out in no time, and LOVED it!
We went to Mama and Papa's to visit. Again, the kids had fun showing off their costumes! Ariel, Spiderman, Rapunzel and Green Lantern!
Did you know Ariel and Spiderman were dating????
Kassi came over to help us carve pumpkins this year. Dylan was very excited about carving his own pumpkin. He didn't have any design, but really enjoyed using that carving knife.
It's definitely an original!Jackson had no interest in the pumpkins at all. So, I tricked him for a picture! I put his baseball in the pumpkin. It looks like he's getting goop out of the pumpkin, but really, he's just going for the baseball.
Trick or treating!
Just like last year, Dylan had more fun handing the candy out. He was so excited when he saw kids turn into our driveway!
Hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween!

Jackson is 2!

I can't believe my baby is 2! We celebrated his birthday at Stuckmeyer's Pumpkin Patch this year. We totally lucked out and had great weather for his party. The kids got to decorate pumpkins, ride on the barrel ride, run through the corn maze and play on the playground. They had a blast!
I can never resist these signs!
What you don't see is that Dylan has his arm around Jackson...and had it around him the whole ride! They are so cute together! Dylan loves Jackson so much (you know, when Jackson doesn't have his toys...) and always wants to help take care of him. It's so sweet.
Happy Birthday little man!

That's one tired 2 year old!

Eckerts!

Thursday we headed out to Eckerts with G-Pa. The boys had a blast picking apples, playing on tractors and feeding the animals. Dylan rode a pony for the first time! Here he is trying not to smile for me...
I love how blue his eyes look in this picture.
The boys are watching the pumpkin launcher. Man those pumpkins can fly!I love Jackson's face here.

Purina Farms!

Every summer Purina Farms is on my list of things to do, yet we never get out there. So, on Wednesday we headed out there with Mama to see what it was all about! Both of the boys loved seeing the dogs do all their tricks. Jackson enjoyed checking out all the animals, while Dylan loved playing in the hay barn. It's yet another fun free attraction St. Louis has to offer. We're so lucky!
I love the look on his face. He loved the dog show!

Swing Around Fun Town!

Tuesday we met the Haarmann girls for lunch and a round of mini golf! Dylan was so excited for golf. He kept saying "Papa showed me how to play golf, so now I can teach Olivia!" It was quite funny to watch them play. The little ones quickly learned that it's much easier to just throw the ball in the hole!
Jackson and his cheering squad!

The boys on the last hole. Dylan putts it in...
Jackson throws it in!There was a HUGE arcade inside that Dylan thought was "So Awesome!" We didn't give the kids any money to play, but that didn't stop them! Dylan and Olivia enjoyed riding on the bikes! Here's all the kids checking out the shooting game. It was next to impossible to get them to all look at me for a picture!

Zoo

Wick and I took the boys to the zoo on Monday. Jackson thought all the animals were so neat! He got so excited every time he saw a new animal. We're so lucky that we have such a great FREE zoo! Dylan said his favorites were the cheetahs, penguins and the new baby elephant, Kenzie. Every year I take a picture of the boys by the same penguin statue, but this year the statue was missing. Hopefully it was just getting cleaned or something and is back next year. We still took our pictures! HA! Dylan wanted to hide...
And Jackson wasn't so sure of what was going on...
Happy Feet!
Me and the boys.

The hippos are so neat. They boys (as well as Wick and I) could have watched them for hours!
I love the monkey face!
See baby Kenzie on the far right? She tried to get closer to us, but her mama wouldn't let her. She was very protective of Kenzie, which is so sweet. It's amazing to see these giant animals that have the same protective instincts as we do.
