Haarmann Holiday Season has begun!

Last night we went to see Santa Claus! Santa visits Bass Pro Shop every weekday from 5-7. I highly recommend it! (He's there on weekends too if you're brave enough to fight the crowds!) They set up a whole winter village with lots of stuff for the kids to do. They had a train set up, a race track with remote control cars, a rifle shooting game, a bow and arrow shooting game, and some craft tables (if you can get your kids to sit down long enough!). We got there at 4:30 and it was perfect. We were about 10th in line (we could have been first, but Dylan wanted to look around at all the fun stuff.) We got to see Santa come out of his workshop which was so cool to Dylan. He's at such a fun age for all of this right now! You get a free picture with Santa, plus they let you take a few pictures with your own camera. Santa was so nice too. He was great with Dylan. He actually understood what Dylan was saying (I want Jessie, Bullseye, Mator and a Lightning McQueen bike!) and knew who the characters were. I was there ready to help Santa with the conversation, but he didn't need help at all! I was very impressed. :) Check out this face! Santa is about to come out of his workshop...Dylan was so excited!
Santa has arrived!Santa even looks friendly. Sometimes they tend to look a big scary. Jackson wasn't too sure about him though...I love that Dylan was trying to help his brother smile for the camera. He is such a great big brother!
Being a train conductor.Shooting with the pink gun, which Dylan thought was so cool. Pink is his favorite color!Santa's elves were everywhere to help out. This elf was teaching Dylan how to use the bow and arrow! Very serious business!

Halloween

The boys had a great time on Halloween. Dylan dressed up as Buzz and Jackson was a monkey! We started the festivities off by going over to Mama and Papa's house for a little while. Snow White and Belle were there too! It was next to impossible to get the 4 kids to sit down for a picture, but we sure tried. I think this is as good as it got. Maybe next year!
I like Dylan's expression in this one. It looks like he's thinking, "Mom, she's not going to sit here, can we just go already?"
AAAANNNDDD they're off. Snow White and a monkey...Buzz and Belle.
Dylan really got into trick or treating this year. It was so fun to watch him! There were a couple houses that had some scary decorations though, and he told me we couldn't go to those houses because they weren't home. LOL He had the best time handing the candy out to everyone. The whole time we were trick or treating he kept saying "Are they going to our house???" So, after trick or treating we went back home to see how Dad and Uncle David were doing with handing out the candy. They were happy to let Dylan take over. :) Dylan sat at the door and waited for trick or treaters. He kept getting up to go check out the street to see if someone was coming. He had so much fun with it. Jackson was clapping for everyone too! Here they are patiently waiting for another trick or treater!Obviously mommy knew we were getting our picture taken, but no one else seemed to know, or maybe they just didn't care!We hope everyone had a safe and happy Halloween!
