Heartbreaker!

This is just too cute! Sticking his tongue out like that is a new thing he's doing. I think he gets it from his dad. Scott sticks his tongue out when he's concentrating on something. Dylan's been doing it when he's concentrating on walking!

Dylan meets Olivia!

We've been battling cold after cold, so Dylan didn't get to meet Olivia until she was 1 month old! I'm not sure he even knew she was there...except for when I was holding her. Look how big he is compared to her. It's hard to remember him that little!

Playing Ball

I doesn't matter what type of ball it is...Dylan LOVES to play ball. Tennis ball, beach ball, Sponge Bob Square Pants ball, they all work! He can actually throw it pretty far...although he doesn't have too much control with direction! We may have a world champion on our hands after all!

It's been awhile!

Sorry for no recent updates! Apparently we've been pretty busy. I can't really tell you with what though...I guess just the everyday things! Scott passed a 3rd part of the CPA exam! One more to go...I'm so excited for him! Dylan has just been growing so much! I would say he's officially a walker. He uses it more than crawling now. Instead of bending over to pick things up though, he just plops down and then stands back up. He's funny. I'll upload some pictures tonight so you can admire him as much as I do! Hope everyone is doing well!

Walking!

Okay, here's a video of him walking...hopefully it works! He's walking 90% of the time now. If you try to help him, he kind of gives you the brush off. He wants to do it all by himself!

More one year pictures!

Here's some more one year pictures! I have a great birthday hat that one of our friends gave us. She had her son's first b-day pictures taken in it. Dylan wanted NOTHING to do with the hat though. He would crawl away from it crying! We tried. We're going to pass it on to another friend for her son's first b-day!
Speaking of crawling (sort of!) Dylan is SOOOO close to walking. He pretty much is walking, actually. We'll try to get a video of it!

Dylan's One year check up!

Dylan is in the 60th percentile for weight, weighing in at 23 pounds, 11 ounces! Most of it is in his belly! He's in the 97th percentile for height at 32 1/4 inches tall! His head is in the 75th percentile at 47.2 cm. He's my healthy little boy! Here's some one year pictures! It's hard to read, but his shirt says "It's fun to be ONE!"

Minnie Ha Ha Park

This past Saturday Dylan, Buddy and I had cabin fever. Scott was studying at the office. When he got home, it was just warm enough to go for a quick walk in the park. Here's a picture of the boys at the park, with the river in the background.

Car Seat!!!!

He's such a big boy now! I found a website that said they become toddlers at the age of one. I'm not ready for that yet! He's finally old enough (he was big enough a long time ago, but I've always heard 20 pounds AND one year old) to turn the car seat around! I think it's possible that I was more excited about it than he was. I think it's so neat to look in the mirror and actually see him hanging out in the back seat! I think he enjoys it too. He doesn't fight me to get in the car seat anymore...that's a good sign! His getting older is very bittersweet. I'm so excited about it, but not ready to let go at the same time. Is that why people have more than one kid? To have that baby stage back??? He just gets better everyday!

Superbowl Birthday Party!

Sunday we had more friends over for Dylan's birthday and to watch the superbowl. Emaline was helping Dylan eat his cake! Emaline, Dylan and Maddie had a great time playing together in the play room...they weren't interested in the game at all! Dylan's got two girlfriends...don't tell the girls! :) Emaline & Maddie liked Dylan's new chair as well!

All Worn Out!

Sunday morning Dylan was still pretty tired from his exciting party. He fell asleep while he was eating a mid morning snack!

Cake...YUMMY!!!

He needed to warm up to it (I had to shove his hand in it first...) but he eventually thought the cake was pretty neat. He was definitely sucking his fingers clean! Then he just dove in! He didn't quite go face first, but he did take a bite! He got the hang of it!

It's fun to be ONE!

We had a great weekend! Saturday we had a birthday party with all our family and friends. Dylan was a little tired, but he survived! He was showing off his new walking skills! Here he is in his new chair...he loves it!
He was not very excited about his birthday hat though!

First Steps!

Scott was out of town all week last week for work. When he got home Friday evening, Dylan was so excited to see him, he took his first few steps to give him a hug! Then he giggled...he is so proud of himself!
